Actually, it's nominated on Oscar from Ukraine this year.

It explains a lot why we as a nation emotionally dead inside, why so many people saying that their life is on pause, why is it so hard to smile during small talk, when you can't find any optimistic reasons to do this.

And I'm worrying that it's impossible to fix and change in the nearest future.

13 years of cable hell in my bag - finished.

For me, this is an extremely Great film. It is about us, the world and the system in which we live. The system of exploitation of the weak, those who were unlucky with time or place of birth, a system in which people, not knowing what Buchenwald/the Soviet Union/Ruzzia and Siberia are (you can continue endlessly) admire their beauty and reinterpretation in the form of culture/architecture/ballet/literature. And everyone absolutely does not care about the tears and pain and fate of people who were unlucky. The main thing is a beautiful result in the basement of which the tears are hidden (cross out) - a drainage system. You are a resource. For one camp - mobilization, for another - economically exploited. Die physically, or die spiritually. Different systems and covers, but the result is the same. For me, this film is a manifesto that something is wrong with the world system. And we see it.

For me, this is an extremely Great film. It is about us, the world and the system in which we live. When I defended my master's thesis at the Institute of Cinema and Television, my scientific topic was "Television as a means of influencing public consciousness". In 2015, I read a lot of literature on this topic and I can say with confidence that over these 10 years, technologies have advanced significantly. In 2025, it is not necessary to lie. It is enough to simply see what is convenient and close your eyes to what is unpleasant and scale it. Thus, socially important (true) things are silenced, and informational noise is brought to the front pages. Everything is like in Aldous Huxley's.

It is enough to simply see what is convenient and close your eyes to what is unpleasant and scale it. A million thoughts I’d like to share, but let’s agree, on a global scale, they make no sense. They are incapable of changing the key things and trends upon which we depend.

I’d really like to talk about the future of sound in the context of consumers and performers with short attention spans.

I believe that the short attention span mentality is a huge problem. Primarily, it's a problem for the stories that every department tells through audiovisual language. Focusing on details, we’ve lost the main storyline and meanings. That is, thinking about a beautiful image or shot, we forget that the main thing in a particular story might be clean sound, or vice versa—the image. We need to work with priorities based on information about:

The target audience (who we are doing this for)

The business model (whether we will make money on this)

I’d like to expand on the last point.

Cinema is the most perfect form of art. It encompasses all other forms (music, painting, drama, etc.). So, when we talk about making money and define our audience as housewives, we need to understand that this category doesn’t watch, but LISTENS while preparing dinner, etc.
In other words, production should focus on a flawless sound track.

Some might say that dubbing/ADR will fix all inaccuracies, but here problems arise—lip-sync and emotions, which cannot replace the chemistry on set.

This is my kit that I've prepared for a short film, where being portable is crucial due to numerous scene changes while maintaining a strong signal.

I want to share a few pleasant discoveries.

@deitymicrophones Deity SPD -1. With 6 outputs and 3 inputs loaded, this monster can easily power 4 receivers, a recorder, an antenna splitter, and antennas through a type-c 120w charger. You can be highly portable and power up from DC. As a nice bonus, you can even charge your phone.

@soundbag_dashboards with Orca OR-30 ( @orcabags )works excellently. Yes, sometimes it feels like there's not enough space in the bag, nevertheless, the organization of the workspace is excellent. I have a proposal. Between two brackets would be great to have small wholes, for managing sma cables. As you can see on picture here is some chaos.

I spent a lot of time finding the perfect backpack for accessories/IEMs, batteries, etc. And I finally found it.

Great news! I want to share the results. Portable sennheiser transmitter with SMA modification is capable of reviving a passive antenna like Sennheiser A 1031-U or Betso Bowties. Essentially, this can be used as a compromise in situations where you want to be portable and mobile while maintaining a strong signal to deliver to clients.

You never knew what would happen. Either the TX would run out, or the signal would break 😄

Had to joke and "dance" a lot and just after - tweak the frequency like lightning again and again, specially in city centre.
